The Benefits of Using Organic V’s Cleaning Products
We breathe in between ten and twenty liters of air every day, any toxins that are in the area we are also inhaling along with the air. Most people have grown up around various cleaning products and usually we don’t consider the toxins that they could contain. Conventional cleaning products tend to be large contributors to how toxic your home really is. This can in turn create many bad reactions and allergies that we don’t even realize we cause ourselves by using these cleaners in our homes.
These chemicals can also be dangerous for your children and pets. It isn’t easy, either, to determine how hazardous cleaning products really are, since manufacturers aren’t always required to say what ingredients they are using. Many of these cleaning products include ammonia, chlorine, detergents and artificial fragrances plus many other ingredients that are suspected or known to be toxic to the human body.
Hazardous Ingredients in Cleaning Products
Ammonia – Found in all-purpose cleaners, glass cleaners, disinfectants and more.
Chlorine – Found in paper products which are bleached, like toilet paper, paper towels and more. You can also find it in laundry bleach, dishwasher detergent, tile and tub cleaners, etc.
Artificial Fragrances – Found in cleaning products, cosmetics, body care and cleaning products like laundry detergents.
Phenols – Found in disinfectants, laundry detergents, furniture polish and all-purpose cleaners.
Petroleum Distillates – Found in pesticides, laundry stain removes, furniture polish and other home cleaners.
Why You Should Make the Switch
Organic Clean products are extremely effective and only a small amount is needed to obtain a brilliant clean. I recently used a tiny dab of the floor cleaner on a damp microfiber cloth to clean two dining room chairs that are not used very often. Food stains were on them from some guests. I did not discover this until a few weeks later, resulting in mold growing on the chairs, and I thought for sure that they were ruined. However, when I used the natural cleaner it took the mold and the stains right out and I was so thankful that my expensive chairs were saved.
Even though it is important to eat organic and natural foods and drink clean water, it is also important to use natural body care and cleaning products as these are what we absorb through our skin and breathe in the air. There is so much exposure to toxins nowadays, that any way in which you can reduce this toxic load in your own home will help you and your family, even your pets, to be healthy and happy.
