This kitchen in Darwin, NT, was chosen as the 2012 Winner Kitchen of the Year at the NT Housing Industry Association Awards.
The brief from the owner was to update and modernise her kitchen area, changing it from a closed in kitchen with window to a functional galley kitchen with door and window to the outside living area, to provide a flow through effect to the garden.
Feature tiles were utilised for the splashback area and the cupboards extended to the ceiling area.
The owner can now enjoy a functional kitchen that is easy to move around, enjoy the view to her back garden and enter the back garden without having to go through her laundry area.
