Veranda Ceiling
A friend recommended Steven Robinson of SAR Contracting to us as we had wanted to add a finishing ceiling to our front veranda for many years. After two quotes, both very expensive, we sadly gave up on the ceiling.
When our friend recommended Steve, I arranged to visit a home where Steve had completed much renovation work and was very impressed with his workmanship. Right from the first visit to my home for the quote, Steve was approachable and reliable, arriving on time. He kept in touch with us before the job to help us prepare for the installation and completed the work promptly and competently, working as carefully as if he was working on his own home.
That’s what I was impressed with!
Our new veranda ceiling brightens the entrance to our home, adding a touch of class, finish and value to our property – so now we can relax as a family and entertain guests proudly by the pool!

No runaround in Palmerston
Steve Robinson completed a kitchen & bathroom renovation for me at Palmerston in early 2008.
From the first phone call, where he arranged to meet me the very same afternoon to view the house, to the end of the renovations and I moved in, I was very impressed with Steve & his work.
Steve was spot on with guessing what I wanted because I was pretty hopeless at telling him exactly what I wanted. He took my ideas and through discussion he came up with plans that I was very happy with and have made my living area & bathroom functional & good looking too.
From experiences I’ve had with other tradesman, Steve is definitely not someone who will give you the run-around, not show up when requested, or be patronizing or condescending towards you (as I am a woman in my mid-twenties I really appreciated this!).
I would recommend Steve to anybody who would like to deal with a down-to-earth, decent & genuine tradesman. He was always reliable and for this I give him huge thumbs up as that is a rare virtue! The price & the quality of work were both excellent and I am very pleased with the outcome.

When we decided to have a new kitchen put in the first problem was finding a good tradesman. One we could can trust to get the job done as we wanted, one who would turn up when they said they would, do the job with the minimum of mess and last but not least keep within our budget.

‘My husband and I decided to register as owner builders and project manage the building of our own home. Having already seen Steve do a fantastic job on the kitchen and bathroom renovations in my brothers home in Rosebery, I already had Steve lined up to do his quality kitchen work in our new home at Humpty Doo.
